SANY Silicon Energy Commissions 200MW PV Project

On December 30, the Shuozhou Chongren 200MW photovoltaic power plant, led and constructed by SANY Green Energy, a subsidiary of SANY Silicon Energy, was successfully connected to the grid. This milestone marks a strong conclusion to the year 2025 and represents another significant achievement in the development of renewable energy.

The project is located across several townships in Pinglu District, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province, where the terrain is mainly mountainous,s and construction conditions are complex. Despite the challenges, the project team made full use of local solar resources and idle mountainous land, achieving efficient and intensive land utilization. The construction scope includes photovoltaic generation units, power collection lines, a booster substation, and transmission lines, all implemented in strict accordance with local power grid planning requirements. The project plays an important role in promoting clean energy development and supporting regional economic growth.

During the construction period, the project created a large number of local jobs and promoted the coordinated development of related industries. After being put into operation, the power plant will continue to contribute stable tax revenue and inject new momentum into the local economy. According to estimates, the plant is expected to generate approximately 360 million kWh of electricity annually, saving about 108,600 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 366,000 tons each year. This will significantly contribute to optimizing the regional energy structure and accelerating green and low-carbon development in Shuozhou.

The project was not without challenges. Tight construction schedules and the complexity of mountainous terrain posed significant difficulties during implementation. Senior executives of SANY Silicon Energy, including Chairman Dai Qinghua, visited the site multiple times to conduct on-site inspections, coordinate resources, and resolve key issues. Under their leadership, the project team overcame numerous difficulties and successfully achieved the first grid connection as scheduled.

The successful commissioning of the Shuozhou Chongren 200MW photovoltaic power plant is a vivid demonstration of SANY Silicon Energy’s commitment to its mission and vision in the renewable energy sector.
